I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia and the District of Columbia (LICSW). I received my Trauma Certification (CCTP) from the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP). My career in the mental health field spans for more than10 years in the areas of research and direct practice. My experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults with diverse mental health, emotional and behavioral challenges including anger, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), childhood behavior disorders, trauma, anxiety, domestic abuse, bipolar, grief and loss, stress and depression. I also have extensive experience with helping families understand and resolve challenges and conflict. Groups I have facilitated with children and adults consist of issues related to trauma, parenting, anger, social skills building, relapse prevention, wellness and self-esteem. I use an prescriptive approach to treatment, tailoring interventions to the unique needs of the client. My goal is to help clients identify and utilize specific solution-focused and client-centered techniques to achieve their desired goals.
